At CAST, our commitment to supporting individuals and communities impacted by trauma drives our diverse range of projects. We have built an extensive portfolio, partnering with organizations, government bodies, and communities to provide specialized care and solutions for those affected by disasters, war, displacement, and critical incidents. Each project is tailored to the specific needs of the people and organizations we support, using evidence-based approaches to ensure effective, sustainable impact.

Our work spans various areas, from large-scale disaster response to humanitarian aid, mental health support, and resilience-building for communities and organizations. Below are some of the key projects we are currently leading and have completed:

Afghan Screening Program

Following the fall of Kabul, CAST has been at the forefront of supporting Afghan forced migrants arriving in the UK. Through trauma screenings and tailored support, we help Afghan refugees address the psychological impacts of their experiences and adapt to their new environment.

Refugee Nurse Program

This initiative focuses on assisting healthcare professionals working with refugee populations, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to support individuals facing significant trauma. The program offers training, resources, and mental health expertise to improve care for refugees in healthcare settings.

Ukrainian Adult Screening Program

We are providing trauma screening and mental health support to displaced Ukrainian adults who have sought refuge in the UK. This program helps identify those most in need of psychological support and offers specialized care to help them cope with the trauma of displacement.

Ukrainian Children Trauma Screening Program

In response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, CAST provides trauma screenings and mental health support to Ukrainian children arriving in the UK. This program helps identify early signs of psychological distress and provides essential services to ensure the well-being of young refugees.

CAST’s approach to trauma care integrates expertise in mental health, crisis response, and community resilience, and we are continuously working to create meaningful, lasting change for those in need. Through these and other projects, CAST continues to lead efforts in supporting communities affected by traumatic events, providing compassionate care, and fostering resilience for the future.
